WALKING THE LAKEFRONT PROMENADE

The Lakefront Promenade links waterfront parks from Port Credit toward Etobicoke and is part of the Waterfront Trail.

  • Leash rule: outside leash-free zones, the City requires dogs on a leash of six feet or less.

  • Hot days: long waterfront walks on sunny days can overheat dogs, especially flat-faced breeds and seniors. Walk early or late and bring water.

  • Pick up after your dog: the City fines owners who don't, and waste spreads parasites to other dogs.

  • Do you see senior pets? Yes. We offer senior exams with in-house blood and urine testing.

  • Do you spay and neuter? Yes, with a pre-surgery exam, monitored anesthesia and pain control.
